Copy… it really is important
I’m Shelley and I’ll be doing your copy. I realise how important it is to get this right, that’s why I take the time to really understand what you want it to do. Then I create something that does that.
As a Skoobaroob co-founder and chief copywriter (well, the only copywriter actually), it’s my job to do a really good job of the copy I do for you.
Plain English is the future
Jargon is frustrating, tech speak is complicated and don’t get me started on people who use 20 words when 10 will do (pass me that red pen!).
Crystal clear copy in the simplest of terms is what I like to do. That doesn’t mean boring, or lacking in personality, it means tricky subjects are made easy. The more people who get what you’re doing, the more customers, clicks, views, or whatever, you’re likely to get.
Google Snippets? Yes please!
I have a knack of writing blogs that get chosen as Google snippets. This means they sit in #0 at the very top of the Google SERPs, like this one I wrote for Zuto:
Snippets are great, and I’m not just saying that because I can write them, they give your brand incredible exposure, give you credibility and are, essentially, free. I’ve jotted down more about these on their own page, they deserve it.
If I don’t know your business, I’ll do some research, it’s as simple as that. Not knowing about an industry, service or business has never stopped me writing about it in the past.
Hop over to my bio for more info and examples of my work, but for ease, here’s a flavour of the different areas I’ve written about, I’ve done finance, marketing, business training, writing, pharmaceuticals, beauty products, art supplies, ventilation systems and bespoke furniture.
Landing copy, articles, social media posts….
I’ve also done landing page copy – lots of landing page copy – long form articles over 3000 words, B2B online magazine articles, social media posts and numerous other things too. So, if there’s something you need that’s not a blog, we can talk about that as well.
Essentially, I’m all about getting people to your site and keeping them there with great content, whatever form it takes.
